🌒 Golf Mk4 Indicators Not Working
It so happens that the Turn Signal Lights/Indicators are driven by a 5-terminal, twin-contact 12V relay. When you use either the Key, or the Remote Control (fob) to either lock/arm or unlock/disarm the locking/alarm system, the CCM blinks all of the turn signal and side marker/indicator lights, as acknowledgment.
Here are Fuse & Relay panel locations and diagrams (explained) on VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora, Passat B5, Seat Leon 1M, Cordoba, Audi A3, A2, etc.You can find a
from looking at some wiring diagrams for a mkiv golf they all seem to share the same "X contact relay" which is marked as relay 503 on the relay plate however the dipped beam circuit doesn't use this relay strange anyway hope that helps
Mk.4 Golf/Bora radiator fan fix. they're suffering from. all mk.4s with any type of air conditioning. Manual air con with the normal 3. push buttons and the digital display. How it should work is that both fans. queue of traffic for a long time. The low speed is done through a 1 Ohm.
Front Indicators Not Working. This week my front indicators stopped working, on both sides. Rear ones work fine and so do the mirror indicators. This is either when I use the indicator stick or hazard lights. The indicator lights and sound on the dash flash twice as fast. Just to give some context, I was at the scene of an accident and I left
Yellow is live wire for low beam. Brown is common ground. White is live wire for high beam. If White isn't connected to anything, it will cause the indicator to be lit, as well as the fog light (GLX model only) to not work. Connect the White wire to a 1 ohm resistor and then connect the other end to the Brown wire.
When the impact happened, it blew a fuse and all the left side of the car didn't work, no locking, no windows, no indicator etc etc. Once we put everything back together, we checked the fuses behind the glove box and there was a blown fuse (To be honest, I can't remember whether we checked the rest of the fuses after coming across the blown one
VW Golf indicators? My son's VW Golf indicator relay does not appear to be working, because his indicators do not come on, his 'warning light' on the fascia does not come on either. He also does not have the 'four-way-flashers' available to use, in case of a breakdown. Quotes he has received are around £50 just to look at it!
It's not my indicators that don't work, just the multifunction steering wheel. So the buttons on the steering wheel to change radio station and volume, the buttons to set the speed for the cruise, and the horn. All indicators sticks etc are still working fine.
A 4:1 zoom ratio strikes the perfect balance between weight and versatility, giving you plenty of magnification options without weighing you down. Model magnification ranges are available in powers of 4x: 1-4.5, 2.5-10, 4.5-18, and 8-32. We’ve been making world-class optics that bear our family name for over 100 years.
I would take the bulb out of the socket, check the condition of the socket, as well as the connector about a foot in on the wires. Seems like the most likely culprit before you start tracing wires far. Get some electrical contact cleaner and try that on all the connections. T. Tony_J Discussion starter.
Right guys, as I was driving home I noticed that when I indicated to turn left, all I can hear was a ticking noise but no arrow flashing. I got out of the car and checked front and rear and both the passenger side indicators are not working. The hazards work with no probs ?? What could the fault be?
Posted 20 April, 2008. yes mate, i think that is the one, the best thing to do is go to a dealer and ask for the indicator relay (shouldnt be too much) and try fitting it. if that fails then it may be a wiring fault. let me know the outcome.
Correct, ground the black lead, touch the center bottom of the cigarette lighter. Also, take fuse 41 out and test there is power to one of the connections in the slots. Last, while the black lead is grounded put the meter on resistance and touch the barrel of the lighter socket. (not the center point) You should get very low resistance.

MOTY 2013. check the main battery earth on the lighting loom behind the fusebox, it should have a 4 way white spade block on it. there is an earth out the back of this block which needs to go to the earth claw above the fusebox. there is a brown on the white engine loom plug which goes to
